Sprinkle Cookies

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup sugar

• 1/2 cup butter, softened

• 1 large egg

• 1 1/2 cups flour

• 1/2 tsp baking soda

• 1/2 tsp vanilla

• Nonpareil sprinkles

Directions

1. Heat oven to 400°F

2. Combine sugar, butter and egg in bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.

3. Add all remaining ingredients except sprinkles; beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.

4. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in sprinkles (kids will love this step).

5. Place, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets.

6. Flatten slightly with bottom of glass.

7. Bake 6-8 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.

8. Cool completely. Store in airtight container at room temperature
