Make a Snow Storm Jar

Materials

• 1 jar

• Baby oil

• White paint

• Water

• Iridescent glitter

• Alka Seltzer

• Blue food coloring

Directions

1. Fill the jar 3/4 of the way with baby oil

2. Make the snow. Combine 1 tsp white paint with 1 cup very warm water. Stir until paint dissolves.

3. Pour the “white water” into the jar, leaving a touch of room at the top.

4. Add glitter & food coloring. Wait for the glitter and water to settle at the bottom of the jar.

5. Make the snow storm. Break the Alka Seltzer tablet into pieces. Have kids drop the pieces into the jar & watch what happens.
